Kim and I used to be in a committed relationship. But then we broke up.
Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc, guys.

No? Just me?
Anyway, I used to drink Kimmy on the reg. I didn’t realize it then, but having a glass or two a night, multiple nights a week, was taking its toll on me. And I’m not just talking about the extra calories, I mean really altering my body’s ability to look and feel how I wanted it to.
Whether you love a bold red or a dirty martini, having alcohol in your life when
you have strict goals in mind more than likely will affect your ability to get there quickly. Why?
Alcohol is empty calories
It does not fit it one of the three macros, leaving it to be a big old question mark in our body’s system
Our bodies simply don’t understand how to store and “use” it, like it would food
With alcohol in our system, our bodies stop doing good things like, breaking down nutrients or rebuilding muscles.
Now, I’m not saying I gave up alcohol completely. I’m just a little more choosey when it comes to the occasion, and I continue to indulge when the time is right. So if you’re like me, and you’re planning on having a drink or two, here’s a few tips to keep you on track and in control:
Plan ahead and pre-log your drinks in advance
Give yourself a “max” drink limit
Drink soda water (with a lime!) in between drinks
Stay away from the mixed drinks to avoid excess sugar
If you went overboard, don’t starve yourself the next day; course correct by chugging some aqua and eating lots of whole foods.
