Meet Coach Fairlane!!

Female Macro Weightloss Coach - Certified Personal Trainer

HEY!! I’m Fairlane!

Hi! It’s nice to meet you!

Before we do a deep dive on how I got here, let’s get the basics out of the way! My name is Fairlane, I am 39 years young, wife to a Coastie and mom to a sassy (almost) 3 yr old. I own a Crossfit gym in Philly, although we currently live near Houston, TX, and of course a Macro Coach.

My journey began back in 2009. I have always been active throughout high school. I played volleyball and basketball but didn’t do much during college, but my nutrition stayed the same which was eating anything that sounded good. There was really no plan behind it. I was not one that shied away from food, after all our family gatherings revolved around food. Thank goodness for genetics but I stayed relatively “thin” even after college. Smaller or being thin means healthy, right? I liked to call that phase in my life “skinny-fat”. I may have looked the part of “healthy” but I was not anywhere near that.

One day, my roommates at the time asked if I wanted to go for a run in the neighborhood. I said sure, how hard could that be. 5 houses down and I was sitting on the sidewalk huffing and puffing and completely out of breath. This was my calling. This was my aha moment. Shortly after this day, I signed up for my first 5k and started running. A 5k turned into a 10k, then a half marathon and into a full marathon. I was a running fiend and I got even smaller, leaner if you may. At the point all I really cared about was that I can run races – and I’m no longer unhealthy. And so I thought.

I had no one to really guide me with my nutrition and for someone that was putting in quite a bit of mileage this was a crucial part of training but it never really crossed my mind nor was it a priority. Even though I was running a lot, my energy levels were still sh!t. I would take an extra long lunch at work so that I could nap in my car in the middle of the afternoon, with that said – something was still not feeling right.

After years of running, I decided to become a personal trainer because of my love for all things fitness that just grew over time. With becoming a personal trainer, I also received my Fitness Nutrition Certification through NASM and started to really delve into how nutrition plays a role in overall health and fitness. After my running years, I started to do more functional training and eventually led my way to CrossFit.

CrossFit has been my main training focus since 2019 and this is where I have found my strongest self. I had the knowledge and experience to fuel my body right and have truly thrived in this environment which led me to also opening up Evolve Fitness PHL in Philadelphia.

I have always had a passion for fitness and helping others. Nutrition is one key aspect of our lives that will never go away so why not take some extra time to learn more about it and learn how to properly fuel our bodies with foods that make us feel good. I love to educate and am a big proponent of teaching and guiding others. We only have ONE body – we should be taking care of it. And that starts with nutrition.

As a coach, I will simplify things for you, because this doesn’t need to be complicated. I want my clients to have the energy to do the things they love by shifting small changes in their habits that will grow with them. Growing up, I lacked the resources to truly understand how nutrition plays a vital role in our quality of life and I feel that even now with the instant information we get from the internet, that there are still some misconceptions on nutrition. I am here to give you the facts and help guide you to your strongest, healthiest self and leave the bullshit out. =)
